Okay, imposter, your name is Elizabeth - NOT Lindsey! Who is Lindsey?!
Happy Friday, dear friend!
Letters from Lindsey has been crazy busy this August! I am so thankful for the projects I have been working on and I’ve been loving every (late night and early morning) minute of it! I also snuck a few new pieces on my Etsy Shop that you should totally check out too! Lately, my most popular items have been custom wood signs, bridal party cards, and custom event place cards. As always, if you have an idea for a custom order, remember that you can always Say Hello!
In the spirit of #FunFactFriday, here is a fun fact about my shop! Many of you know me by my name – Elizabeth – and you’re probably wondering why my business is called “Letters from Lindsey”. When I was born, my parents had a conflict in naming me – so they compromised and named me ‘Elizabeth Mary’, but called me ‘Lindsey’ – best of both worlds! I went by my nickname, Lindsey, from infancy through high school, and then decided to use my given name of Elizabeth when I went to college because I felt like it offered this clear threshold of my transition from a child to young adulthood. It’s really funny because there truly is a clear line of people who know me as Lindsey and as Elizabeth! I love going home and hearing everyone call me Lindsey because it is so friendly and intimate to me – all my family members and childhood friends call me Lindsey, and I was known as Lindsey when I fell in love with writing. Letters from Lindsey is really special to me because it offers me an outlet to continue being creative, young and playful with different mediums. To me, Lindsey will always be the girl practicing her name a hundred times in her wide-ruled notebook until the letters look just right, and Elizabeth will always be my organized, list-making, morning bed-maker.
Stay tuned for some special features of bigger projects I’ve been working on (and some really exciting news!!)! We’ll chat next Friday!
